The maximum recommended child weight is 15kg and maximum child height approximately 93cm.

Compact Adapter Included

This version uses the Urban Iki Compact Adapter, which mounts to a compatible bicycle stem.

For the standard Compact Adapter setup, your bike will generally require:

• Stem Diameter: Approx. 21–28mm
• Available Mounting Height: At least 19mm

If your bike has very limited mounting space around the stem, an Ahead-style setup or certain mountain bike configurations, the separate Urban Iki MTB/ATB Front Seat may be more suitable.

Suitable for Many E-Bikes

Urban Iki front seats can also be fitted to many e-bikes, provided the bicycle and stem meet the required mounting specifications.

The warranty covers applicable manufacturing defects and does not cover normal wear and tear, accidents, incorrect installation, neglect, unauthorised modification or use outside the manufacturer’s instructions.

Returns & Exchanges

If you would like to return or exchange your Urban Iki seat, please contact us before sending it back.

Once your request has been reviewed, we’ll provide a Return Authorisation Number and return instructions.

Change-of-Mind & Compatibility Returns

For approved change-of-mind returns or exchanges, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Where the product supplied matches your order and product description, purchasing a seat that does not fit your particular bicycle is generally treated as a change-of-mind or compatibility return, rather than a shipping or fulfilment error.

That’s why we strongly recommend checking compatibility before ordering.

Before Installing or Using Your Seat

If you think you may need to return the seat for change-of-mind or compatibility reasons, please keep it:

• Unused
• Unmarked and undamaged
• With all mounting hardware included
• With all footrests, straps and components included
• With the instruction manual
• In its original packaging
• In resellable condition

If We Send the Wrong Item

If Xchange Sports makes an error with your order — such as sending the wrong model, colour or product — we’ll provide a pre-paid return label at no cost to you and arrange the appropriate solution.

Faulty or Defective Products

If you believe your Urban Iki seat has a manufacturing fault or defect, please stop using it and contact us before returning it.

Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate solution may include a repair, replacement or refund.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply independently of any manufacturer warranty and cannot be excluded by this policy. Consumer guarantee rights may also continue beyond the stated manufacturer warranty period where applicable.

The Urban Iki Front Seat is designed for children approximately:

Your child must also be able to sit upright independently for the duration of the planned ride.

Age alone should not be used to determine readiness.

Check Your Bike Compatibility

The standard Urban Iki Front Seat uses a Compact Adapter fitted around the bicycle stem.

As a guide, the standard mounting system requires approximately:

• Stem Diameter: 21–28mm
• Available Mounting Height: Minimum 19mm

If your bicycle has less available stem space, an Ahead-style stem or another specialist front-end configuration, the Urban Iki MTB/ATB Front Seat may be the better option.

If you’re unsure, send us a clear photo of your bicycle’s handlebar and stem before ordering.

Before Every Ride

Before placing your child in the seat, check that:

• The seat is correctly locked into the mounting adapter
• The mounting hardware remains secure
• The handlebars can turn freely in both directions
• The safety harness is correctly adjusted
• The footrests are at the correct height
• Both foot straps are securely fastened
• No clothing, straps or feet can reach moving bicycle parts

Wear a Properly Fitted Helmet

Urban Iki recommends that children riding in its bike seats wear an appropriately fitted bicycle helmet.

Choose the helmet according to your child’s measured head circumference rather than age alone.

Riding With a Child Changes Bike Handling

Adding a child seat and passenger changes the weight distribution and handling of your bicycle.

Allow extra room when starting, stopping and cornering, and practise riding with the installed seat before carrying your child for the first time.

Not Designed for Off-Road Riding

The Urban Iki child seat is intended for normal everyday bicycle use and should not be used for mountain bike trails, jumps or off-road riding.
