1-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects when purchased from Xchange Sports.
This warranty covers manufacturing faults and does not cover normal wear, misuse or damage resulting from an accident or impact.
30-Day Love Your Ride Guarantee
We want you and your child to be happy with your purchase.
If you’re not completely satisfied, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll work with you to find the best solution.
Many helmet sizing and fitting concerns can often be resolved quickly with a little expert guidance, so we recommend contacting us before arranging a return or exchange.
Need to Make a Warranty Claim?

Returns & Exchanges
If you would like to return or exchange your helmet, please contact us before sending it back.
Once your request has been reviewed, we’ll provide a Return Authorisation Number and return instructions.
Change-of-Mind & Size Exchanges
For approved change-of-mind returns or size exchanges, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Where the helmet supplied matches your order and product description, selecting the incorrect size is treated as a change-of-mind return or exchange, rather than a shipping or fulfilment error.
Before Removing Tags or Using Your Helmet
If you think you may need to return or exchange the helmet for change-of-mind or sizing reasons, please keep it:
- Unused
- With all original tags attached
- With all fit pads and accessories included
- In its original packaging
We recommend checking the fit carefully before your child uses the helmet outdoors.
If We Send the Wrong Item
If Xchange Sports makes an error with your order — such as sending the wrong helmet, colour or size — we’ll provide a pre-paid return label at no cost to you and arrange the appropriate solution.
Helmet Safety After an Impact
If a helmet has suffered a significant impact, it should be replaced even if there is no obvious visible damage.
Do not continue using a helmet that has been involved in a significant impact or shows signs of structural damage or excessive wear.
Faulty or Defective Products
If you believe your helmet has a manufacturing fault or defect, please contact us before returning it.
Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate solution may include a repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply independently of any written warranty and cannot be excluded by this policy. Consumer guarantee rights may also continue beyond the stated warranty period.
Choosing the Right Size
The Triple 8 Lil 8 has an adjustable fit range of:
Measure around the widest part of your child’s head approximately 2.5cm above the eyebrows.
The helmet should sit level on the head and should not move freely from side to side. The chin strap should fit securely without being uncomfortable.

Has Survived a Year of Abuse and Still Going Strong!
We bought this helmet over a year ago for our son, and it has been put through the wringer. It’s been used for biking, skateboarding, scootering, and even some ill-advised-but-enthusiastic rollerblading.
