Xchange Sports Bike Accessories Warranty
1-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects when purchased from Xchange Sports.
This warranty covers genuine manufacturing faults and does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, modification, corrosion caused by neglect, lost keys or damage resulting from attempted theft or forced entry.
Important Security Warranty Note
All bicycle locks are designed to act as a theft deterrent. No bicycle lock can guarantee that a bike, scooter or other item cannot be stolen.
The product warranty relates to manufacturing defects in the lock itself and does not represent theft insurance or a guarantee against theft.

If you’re not completely satisfied, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll work with you to find the best solution.

Returns & Exchanges
If you would like to return or exchange your OG Series Bike Lock, please contact us before sending it back.
Once your request has been reviewed, we’ll provide a Return Authorisation Number and return instructions.
Change-of-Mind Returns
For approved change-of-mind returns, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Where the product supplied matches your order and product description, purchasing the wrong style of lock or deciding the product is no longer required is treated as a change-of-mind return, rather than a shipping or fulfilment error.
Before Using Your Lock
If you think you may need to return the lock for change-of-mind reasons, please keep it:
- Unused
- Undamaged and unmarked
- With both supplied keys
- With the storage strap and all supplied components
- In its original packaging
- In resellable condition
If We Send the Wrong Item
If Xchange Sports makes an error with your order — such as sending the wrong product — we’ll provide a pre-paid return label at no cost to you and arrange the appropriate solution.
Faulty or Defective Products
If you believe your lock has a manufacturing fault or defect, please contact us before returning it.
Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate solution may include a repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply independently of any written warranty and cannot be excluded by this policy. Consumer guarantee rights may also continue beyond the stated warranty period where applicable.
Keep Your Spare Key Safe
The OG Series lock includes two keys.
We recommend giving the rider one key and storing the second key somewhere secure at home rather than carrying both keys together.
This gives you a backup if your child’s everyday key is misplaced.
How to Lock a Bike More Effectively
Whenever possible:
- Secure the bike to a solid, immovable object
- Pass the cable through the bike frame, rather than only through a removable wheel
- Include a wheel in the locking loop where the bike and locking point allow
- Choose a visible, well-trafficked location
- Keep excess cable length to a minimum once locked
- Avoid leaving the bike unattended longer than necessary
Is This the Right Security Level?
The OG Series keyed cable lock is a practical choice for everyday lower-to-medium risk situations where portability and flexibility are important.
For higher-value bikes, overnight storage or bikes regularly left unattended for extended periods, consider a more substantial U-lock, chain or folding lock, or combine a cable with a second locking method.
Care for the Lock
Keep the keyway covered with the supplied dust cover when possible and periodically check the cable, outer coating and locking mechanism for damage or excessive wear.
If the cable has been cut, severely damaged or subjected to an attempted theft, replace the lock rather than continuing to rely on it.
